While traveling in Japan I came across the beautiful work of Masao Kozumi. I was drawn to the simple elegance of form and subtle nuance of color and irregularity in the material. A scale that is pleasing to hold - possessing a feeling both antique and timeless. Kozumi's pieces are blown into a mold, using glass that has a high iron content which contributes to the green color. His studio is based in Gifu, Japan.

The glass cap has a cork plug attached - great as a bedside water carafe or vase.
